Gallery of artists continued.
Artist: Amanda Simmons
Amanda produces highly sophisticated kiln
formed glass objects and panels which are instantly recognisable. Her works is unusual in that it plays with texture
often utilising semi opague glass to create objects which have the quality of bone china. Often her wall panels present
what other artists would consider the back of the glass turning the shiny surface to the wall and engraving and carving the
imprinted matt back to add aditional textures.
Artist: Sue Parry
Glass artist Sue Parry brings her talents
as a sculptor to the field of glass to create unique sandcast glass sculptures. At once evocative of nature's forces,
each piece is cast and worked while still hot, with the inclusion of oxides and colours to create a piece that is visually
'alive'.
Originally from the West Country, the landscape of which
has had a lasting impact on her work, Sue now lives and works in the West Midlands.
Artist: Deborah Sandersley
Initially a freelance
photographer, Debbie began to work in glass in 1998 studying Studio Glass techniques and later Kiln Forming techniques before
taking a Post Graduate Course in Glass & Fine Art and in Glass & Architecture at Central St.Martins College in London.
Her cross discipline has resulted in a unique and personal style, combining photographic imagery with kiln formed glass.

Artist: Sarah Sillibourne
Originally trained in Jewellery Design,
Sarah’s passion for glass really started whilst in her final year of studies for her BA. Inspired by images of Diatoms,
“plants with a touch of glass”, she experimented with creating the delicate texture and pattern found, through
lathe and fine wire work. With the use and development of, the specialised enameling techniques of pliqué à jour and cloisonné
she was able to produce light and delicate pieces of jewellery.
This encouraged her fascination with the
qualities of glass and so she moved into the field of glass fusing. Sarah works to experiment with the reaction of various
metals laid on and into the glass, thereby producing unique works of art which always repay the observer at each viewing.
She
was awarded the Carol Henderson Association of Men of Kent and Kentish Men Bursary for achievement of excellence and won a
bursary in 1997 from The Goldsmiths’ Company, London, for design.

Artist: Nikki Williams
Glass artist Nikki
Williams uses the traditional glass making techniques of blowing and hot forming glass to create objects and vessels that
relate to the past but yet are dynamic and very contemporary. Based in Shropshire she has her own individual design
style which combines form with the use of light and colour. Each piece is lovingly hand produced by an artist who
delights in what they do which is clearly visible in the beautiful sculptural and colourful forms she produces.
